The Climate Tools & Data page on Climate & Population brings together fifteen entry points to tools and maps published by scientific institutions and international organisations. The Arabic and English guide explains the questions each resource can help explore.

Destinations include NASA POWER and Worldview, climate atlases, Global Surface Water Explorer, Aqueduct and WaPOR, tree-cover maps and population and urbanisation projections. The tools belong to their original providers; the platform selects, explains and links to them.

The guide distinguishes historical measurement, satellite observation, forecasts and scenarios. A map alone does not provide enough evidence to design a local intervention, and water visible in satellite imagery is not proof that it is safe to use.

A researcher or teacher can choose a place or topic, open the source tool, record the data’s date, coverage and methodology, and compare the finding with another source. Some tools, including Copernicus Browser, require a free provider account.

Start with one question: how has surface water changed, or what do climate scenarios suggest for a region? Select the tool that fits the question and state the source and limitations when using a finding in research or teaching.
